Spotlight on Glycolic Acid
Our glycolic mask helps reverse signs of skin aging with a gentle kick of acid while calming the skin.
Studies prove it stops AND REVERSES signs of skin aging.
Glycolic acid (GA) has been studied and is proven to reverse photo-aging (sun damage), which means it successfully reverses age spots, crepey and sagging skin, wrinkles and acne scarring. Amazingly: a 2018 paper also reports that glycolic acid has a protective effect against UVB rays, meaning it may help prevent photoaging!
GA is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugar cane that can penetrate the skin easily (being the smallest and one of the strongest molecules). It induces biological responses that can help restore skin's integrity; it helps the body produce more collagen.
GA stimulates the skin's production of hyaluronic acid in the deeper layers to plump crepey skin from the inside out, as well as brightening and polishing skin texture to create a youthful and dewy luster to reverse a dull and crinkled skin appearance.
Glycolic acid can, however, cause irritation for people with exceptionally sensitive skin, which is why our glycolic mask contains a low amount of acid and has calming ingredients to help soothe the skin. Incorporate a weekly glycolic mask, right after your home peel, to see extraordinary glowing skin!
